Nick Nyseth, President
Nick Nyseth has over 25 years in the pre-hospital setting. He started his tenure as an EMT-B in 1985 after becoming the youngest person to become certified in Western Wisconsin. After a few years he became certified as a Paramedic. Nick worked for several MN ambulance services including Gold Cross and Lakeview EMS. He became Chief of an ambulance service in Western Wisconsin, a position he held for more than 8 years.
Currently, Nick is an active clinician with St. Croix EMS & Rescue in Hudson, WI, is adjunct faculty for a local technical college facilitating emergency service courses and is a member on the MN EMSRB educational standards committee. Nick has instructed over 5,000 students in emergency service topics and comes with a plethora of knowledge of EMS's past, present and future. Nick's passion for pre hospital care is demonstrated by his desire to be in the classroom and the care of his patients.
Adam Wojciehowski, Vice President
Adam has devoted his entire adult life to Public Safety and the preservation of human life. His career has included ten years of service with the Somerset Police Department, WI. He has held the positions of FTO, Evidence Technician, School Resource Officer, Hostage Negotiator, Deputy Emergency Manager and Armorer. Adam is the co-founder of the St. Croix Underage Drinking Coalition; the largest coalition in Wisconsin combating youth access to alcohol and one of the largest in the U.S.
His EMS roles include being a Nationally Registered EMT since 1998, Nationally certified Underwater Crime Scene Investigator and Public Safety Diver and is a Rescue Technician in the fields of Swiftwater, Rescue Diving, Confined Space and High Angle Ropes for St. Croix EMS & Rescue of Hudson, WI. He specializes in Rescue Diving and Recovery missions.
Adam has a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a Masters of Arts in Leadership, Education and Administration. He is currently pursuing a degree in Emergency Management. Adam is an adjunct instructor for Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and Capella University. In addition to his institutional instruction he been an educator of EMS courses since 1998 and has testified in front of State Legislatures to change several statutes that aid in making the Public Safety sector safer for all.
Dr. Paul Satterlee, Minnesota and Wisconsin Medical Director
Dr. Satterlee is a staff physician in the emergency department at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and the associate medical director of Allina Medical Transportation. He is also the medical director for the paramedic education program at Century College in White Bear Lake, Woodbury Public Safety in Woodbury and the chief medical officer for the Minnesota – 1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT).
Previously, Dr. Satterlee was an emergency physician and the medical director of EMS education at North Memorial Medical Center, as well as the associate medical director with North Memorial Medical Transportation. Dr. Satterlee completed his residency in emergency medicine at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He earned his doctor of medicine degree from University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion, and his bachelor of science degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings.
In addition Dr. Satterlee serves as a board member of the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulartory Board.
Keith Wesley, Wisconsin Medical Director
Keith Wesley is a board-certified emergency medicine physician living in Wisconsin. Originally from Tyler, Texas, he graduated from Brigham Young University in 1982 and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1986. He completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he gained his first exposure to EMS flying air medical missions. Dr. Wesley has been involved in EMS since 1989 working with many services in Wisconsin. In 1992 he was selected by the Governor as a founding member of the Wisconsin State Physician Advisory Committee and served for 12 years, the past four years as chair.
In 2006, Dr. Wesley was selected as the Wisconsin State EMS medical director and continues to provide medical oversight to several services throughout Wisconsin. He is also the past Chair of the National Council of State EMS Medical Directors and is active in National Association of EMS Physicians. In 2007 Dr. Wesley became the Minnesota State EMS medical director and medical director for HealthEast Medical Transportation in St. Paul. Dr. Wesley has authored four EMS textbooks and numerous articles and papers on EMS and is a frequent speaker at state and national EMS conferences.
